Azadeh Dastmalchi

Azadeh Dastmalchi is the CEO of VitalTracer, a medical startup that designs smart wearable medical devices. She holds a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Ottawa, earning her master's degree from the same university in biomedical engineering. For the past 12 years, her main area of research has been the design and development of medical devices, particularly those for monitoring vital signs and AI applied to biological signals.

She is one of the top 25 women of INFLUENCE 2021, a Canadian G20 Young Entrepreneur Alliance, a skilled leader, entrepreneur, business planner and successful project manager. Azadeh has raised $1M in non-dilutive grants since January 2020. VitalTracer has received several regional and national awards under her leadership, including the National Mitacs Entrepreneur Award, CANNIE Regional Innovation Product Award, Startup Canada Award, and AGE-WELL Emerging Entrepreneur Award ( COVID-19 Countermeasures).
