Québec Young International Leader
With a degree in international relations and 14 years of experience abroad, Geneviève Marcotte is the director of the Trade Missions organization at Université Laval. The objective of this organization is to support Quebec companies in the development of their international business network while training the next generation of international businesspeople. Geneviève has coordinated and participated in trade missions with close to 350 companies on 5 continents. Involved, she has coached several teams of students in inter-university competitions, created introductory business trips to Latin America and taught international marketing.
For the past two years, she has been involved at the Musée de la civilisation de Québec (MCQ) as a member of the Generation M committee. The goal of this committee is to encourage 18-35 year olds to attend the MCQ more regularly and to raise funds to offer a day at the Museum to children from underprivileged backgrounds. She also sits on the board of directors of an employment assistance organization.
