Marie-Eve Brunet Kitchen

A true generator of social change, Marie-Eve Brunet Kitchen has been the voice of Quebec families and youth for nearly 15 years. Executive Director of the Fédération québécoises des organismes communautaires Famille since 2018, she works to develop more than 250 organizations that are active with thousands of families. As a city councillor in Montreal from 2013 to 2017, she was responsible for family-work balance issues. In this capacity, she brought the issue of parental leave to the attention of municipal elected officials, ultimately leading to legislative change in Quebec. As President of Concertation Montréal, she contributed to the emergence of regional initiatives promoting the diversity of voices in governance bodies. She was the first woman to lead the Table des mandataires du programme de prévention de la criminalité de Montréal - Tandem. As a young mother involved in her community, she co-founded, in 2012, the intergenerational recreation center La Station, on Nuns' Island.
